Hello!

My name is Gavin.

I’m a budding UX enthusiast, product designer, design thinker, and researcher. I love learning about people and why they do the things they do.

I have 1-2 years of experience in applying design thinking to real-world projects that have had big impacts on communities around the world. I have worked independently, collaborated with others, and mentored teams of interns. I thrive in the space between stakeholders and users, creating new perspectives for both and finding a balance that does not just suffice but satisfies.

I approach design and people with a human-based perspective. With a professional background in human-services and my academic roots in storytelling, I am constantly curious and seeking out the things that make people joyful, frustrated, or disinterested. My design thinking practices combine the joy of problem-solving and ideation with the logic of user behavior backed by research.
